A single phase of NaxK1-xNbO3 composition series was obtained by changing the molar ratio of NaOH/KOH and the reaction temperature was 200 °C/10 h. The high concentration of NaOH/KOH mixture was found to be a critical requirement for the formation of NaxK1-xNbO3. Compared with the traditional solid-state reaction, the hydrothermal process significantly lowered the temperature required for synthesizing NaxK1-xNbO3. The effect of different parameters such as the concentration of reactants, time and temperature on the phase formation, morphology and piezoelectric properties of the above phases has been investigated. |
