Knowing this, it is necessary to develop technologies that help reduce the degradation of nature. One of the alternatives deals with the reuse of residues derived from the processing of ornamental stones, in the production of mortar, replaced part of Portland cement. In order to verify the feasibility of this procedure, a study was carried out characterizing the marble and granite powder residue, by means of granulometry tests, moisture content, swelling and actual and apparent density, thus verifying its properties. For the construction of the samples the cement was replaced by the residue, in the following proportions 2.5% 5% 7.5% and 10%. In order to verify the quality of the obtained mortar, tests of mass density, consistency, water absorption and resistance were carried out. Based on the results obtained, to verify if the mortar obtained, satisfies satisfactorily all the functionalities in which mortar made with Portland cement only is used. |
