Between them, the -based glassy systems revealed as promising materials because of their interesting nonlinear, electrical and optical properties. In particular, it is recognized that tellurium-based glasses are non-linear optical materials favorable to third order nonlinear optical susceptibility. Furthermore, tellurite glass-ceramics can be used in optically operated devices because of their compatibility with the refractive index of ferroelectric compounds. In this case, it is possible to investigate the effect of the second harmonic generation from ferroelectric nanocrystals (NCs) present in the glass-matrix. The objective of the present work is to study the thermal and structural properties of tellurium-based glass-ceramics containing ferroelectric NCs, obtained by the quenching method. The physical properties were analyzed by considering the influence of different stoichiometric compositions.
