Usually, masonry that fills the concrete structures are considered only for closures and its use is well accepted against aggressive agents, but ignored for its structural strength. However, considering the collaboration of the masonry walls in the calculations of the strength of the structure, can cause a reduction of the sections of the elements of reinforced concrete, due to the increase of stiffness caused by the masonry. The analysis of the reinforced concrete frames with multiple pavements submitted to horizontal actions is done through the Finite Element Method (MEF) modeling, where comparisons of the frames with and without the presence of masonry panels were made, showing differences in the reactions of support and displacement at the top of the frames, evidencing a redistribution of loads that need to be considered in the calculations. |
