X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the attainment of NiO, Co3O4, CuO, and Ce0.9Gd0.1O1.95 structures. The catalyst reducibility and its interaction with the gadolinium doped ceria support are influenced by the presence and amount of cobalt and copper. The NCo0.8 catalyst exhibited high CH4 and CO2 conversions, the best reaction selectivity and carbon resistance due to its high surface area and formation of the Ni-Co alloy which improves reducibility and metal-support interaction. |
