The magnetic properties of spinel ferrites are drastically influenced by the type of cations as well as their distribution. Magnesium-zinc ferrite samples of MgxZn1-xFe2O4 (with x = 0.00, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.00) were sintered for 8 hours at 1000 ° C and 1200 ° C for 2 hours by the conventional ceramic method, by solid-state reaction with the zinc, magnesium and iron oxides. Magnetic properties are characterized by means of a vibrating sample magnetometer. The magnetic parameters are measured by the hysteresis curve (Magnetization M versus Field H) and the ferrites present saturation magnetization values in the order of 50 emu / g.
