Control of crystallization in glass

10-007	Jianrong Qiu	Qiu, J.(Zhejiajing University);	Crystallization is one of the most important issues in the field of glass science and technology together with glass transition, phase-separation and order-disorder. In this paper, we discuss some most fundamental problems about nucleation and crystallization. We also developed a new method for fabrication of glass ceramic fibers with both low optical attenuation and various optical functions. A new method for space-selective precipitation of microcrystals in glass by using fs laser is also demonstrated.
