Therefore, a variation of the proportions of synthetic latex in the concrete mass was carried out. The objective is to analyze an influence of different proportions of latex on the concrete. Concretes with and without latex were studied analyzing its compressive and tensile strength gain as well as its consistency. The processes for conducting the research consist in the definition of the reference mix for a 30 MPa concrete, in the 28th day, and a slump test of 75 to 100 mm with a variation of ±20 mm and for the latex proportions influence replacing the water in 1%, 2,5% and 5% for the same mix. The tests performed for the hardened concrete were for 3, 7, 21 and 28 days and it was also carried out the slump test for the fresh concrete. The results showed that the decrease in compressive strength is proportional to the addition of latex in the concrete. An addition of 2,5% of latex in the mix was the one that presented better results regarding the consistency and tensile strength gain at the end of the 28th day. The gain of both compressive and tensile strength with latex showed a decrease of the resistance gain rate for all analyzed proportions. |
