In this way, in addition to the possible technical advantages, there is also the ecological character of the use of a waste that has provided a great storage problem and damage to the environment. Initially the chemical and mineralogical characterization of vitreous residues, cement and aggregates was carried out. After this characterization, the sieving and grinding processes were carried out in ball mill, having in this process the main objective of obtaining powders with different particle sizes, the first granulometry being only sieved and the second sieved and milled. At the end of the grinding process, the concrete was produced with partial replacement of the cement by the powder of the glass in different substitution percentages and with glass powder of different granulometries, sieved and ground, in order to compare its mechanical properties, for of compression, absorption and porosity tests. Therefore, the main objective of this work was to study the effect of different granulometry of recycled glass powder in partial replacement with cement. The results obtained were satisfactory, since the obtained product has applications in areas of great demand of concrete like paving and applications for simple concrete, being important to emphasize that the granulometry had direct influence in the properties obtained. |
